    Hey John,
    That’s funny! But in all seriousness, I get so much spam on Got Ireland. It’s driving me nuts! And I had a captcha thingy turned on, but it doesn’t seem to be doing much, except perhaps annoy people and maybe even prevent them commenting. I just turned it off today, to see if the spam problem gets any worse. Hopefully not 🙂

    Liam,

    I know, it never ends. The Akismet plugin for WordPress has saved me huge amounts of time dealing with it.

    In a few years of use, it has blocked more than 7,500 spam comments and has only mistakenly let through a handful, and has blocked 2 legitimate comments.

    I still page through the spam queue before emptying it, since my brain won’t let me completely trust it, but I probably should. 😉
